Hello Steve Maiorano, Territory Manager at Pharmacolog Inc! Tell us about your background and experiences – why have you chosen this field of occupation?
I have been in the healthcare field for almost 30 years. I started at age 18 as an EMT and worked my way up to a paramedic, while working as a paramedic I started my first position in Pharmacy as a technician for a closed-door Pharmacy that specialized in clinical pharmacy for Transplant, Mental Health and IVF patients. Most recently I spent 16 years in various positions with a pharmacy automation company where I gained the experience of medication management and distribution throughout various healthcare facilities globally. My healthcare career was focused on improving patient outcomes which intrigued my interest in the opioid pandemic and improving outcomes with the Pharmacolog products.
What are your responsibilities at Pharmacolog?
My area of responsibility as the East Coast Territory Manager is to grow and maintain our customer base through both Direct sales & Channel resources. I work closely with our strategic partner to assist them with any needs they may have. I assist our Sales Director on any marketing needs and expanding the use of the Pharmacolog products in the market to help detect and deter drug diversion. We are also working on launching our new product DrugLog® centered around patient safety with injectable compounded medications.
