UT Southwestern in Dallas, Texas purchases two additional WasteLog™ systems as part of an expanded program to prevent Drug Diversion. After installation, UT Southwestern will have a total of six WasteLog™ systems.
UT Southwestern is one of the premier academic medical centers in the US and is part of Southwestern Health Resources, a hospital network with a total of 29 hospitals and over 650 medical centers. UT Southwestern has an extensive research activity that has generated six Nobel Prizes since 1985. The hospital acquired four WasteLog™ systems in December 2020 for the control of returned narcotic drugs as part of its Drug Diversion Prevention program. The hospital has now ordered two additional units for deployment in its hospital network and will after installation have a total of 6 WasteLog units.
